Can you spot them?

Tick them off with a pencil or draw what you see.

  • A slug or snail
  • An insect with six legs
  • A spider with eight legs
  • A woodlouse
  • An earthworm
  • A flower visitor
  • A silvery trail
  • A nibbled leaf

Best places to look

Try the edges of paths, beneath leaves and around damp plant pots. Adults can gently lift a loose log or stone, then replace it carefully.

Celebrate what you found

There is no need to find every item. Choose one creature to draw, describe how it moved and find out whether it is an insect, mollusc, arachnid, crustacean or worm.
